Day 1: Arrival / Tel Aviv
Reception at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Arrival at the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 2: Tel Aviv- Jaffa/ Caesarea Maritima/ Mount Carmel/ Megiddo/ Galilee
Breakfast. We start the day with a brief panoramic visit to the main streets of Tel Aviv and Jaffa. On the way along the coast, visit Caesarea Maritima, the Roman Theater, Crusader and Byzantine ruins (conversion of Cornelius). Continue to Mount Carmel to visit the Carmelite Church in Mukhraka, the site where Prophet Elijah's struggled with the false prophets of Baal. On to visit Megiddo (Armageddon - Revelation 16:16)- archaeological excavations, the fortress of King Solomon, and his famous underground aqueduct. Arrival at the hotel in Galilee. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 3: Sea of Galilee
Breakfast. Boat ride on the Sea of Galilee, or "Lake Kinneret”. Visit Capernaum, the "City of Jesus”- Synagogue, Peter's house. Tabgha: Church of the Primacy- "Mensa Christi”, Church of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fish. On to the Church of the Mount of Beatitudes- "Sermon on the Mount”. Visit the Jordan River- Yardenit baptismal site. Return to our hotel in Galilee. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 4: Cana/ Nazareth / Jericho / Jerusalem
Breakfast. Start the day with a visit at Cana of Galilee (Wedding at Cana- 1st public miracle- renewal of marriage vows). On to Nazareth- Basilica of the Annunciation, St. Joseph's Carpentry, the Holy Family house. Departure through the Jordan Valley via Jericho, the oldest city in the world- panoramic view of the Mount of Temptation and the Tree of Zacchaeus. Continue to Jerusalem. Panoramic views from Mount Scopus, Hebrew University of Jerusalem- "Triumphant Entry." Arrival at the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 5: Jerusalem/ Bethlehem
Breakfast. Visit the Chapel of the Ascension and Church of Our Father (Pater Noster). Descend the Mount of Olives, viewing the amazing panorama of Jerusalem- the Holy City, towards the Church of Dominus Flevit (where the Lord wept for Jerusalem). Arrive at the Abbey of Gethsemane, visit the garden. In the afternoon, visit Bethlehem- the Church of the Nativity, and the cave of St. Jerome. Return to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 6: Jerusalem- The Garden Tomb/ Old City
Breakfast. Start the day at the Garden Tomb- time for Communion. On to visit Mount Zion- Church of the Dormition of the Virgin, Tomb of King David, Room of the Last Supper. Enter the Old City to visit the Western Wall. Church of St. Anne, Bethesda's probatic pool, through the alleys of the oriental market, follow the stations of the Via Dolorosa to Golgotha (Calvary). In the afternoon, free time in the Old City market. Return to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 7: Massada and the Dead Sea
Breakfast. Departure to the Judean Desert to visit the famous Roman fortress, King Herod's palace, and the last stronghold of Jewish rebels against the Roman Empire- "Masada." On to the Dead Sea- the lowest place on earth (430 meters below sea level) to bathe and float in the therapeutic waters. Visit Return to the hotel in Jerusalem. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 8: Departure
Breakfast. At the appropriate time, transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
